Germany – Third Reich: An interesting set of documents awarded to Fire Chief later District Lieutenant of the Fire Protection Police Andreas Kotlarski of Berlin-Charlottenburg, a Great War veteran who would later serve with the Fire Brigade in Berlin being awarded a War Merit Cross 1939 2nd Class with swords on 20th April 1944 as a District Lieutenant of the Fire Protection Police.

Award Certificate for the Honour Cross 1914-1918 to Fire Chief Andreas Kotlarski in Berlin-Charlottenburg dated Berlin, 6th March 1935 and signed by the Police President of the Police District Charlottenburg, Tiergarten.
Award Certificate for Fire Brigade Medal of Honour 2nd Class for 25 years loyal service in the Fire Brigade to Fire Chief Andreas Kotlarski of Berlin-Charlottenburg, dated 30th January 1938.
Award Certificate for the Faithful Service Decoration for 25 years service to Fire Chief Andreas Kotlarski of Berlin-Charlottenburg, dated 27th July 1939
Award Certificate for the War Merit Cross 1939 2nd Class with swords to District Lieutenant of the Fire Protection Police Andreas Kotlarski of Berlin, dated 20th April 1944 and signed by the Commanding General of Luftgau III, General of Flak Artillery Gerhard Hoffman.
Hoffmann was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 27th November 1942 as Commander of 15th Flak Division.
Condition: all documents hole-punched, the first free all horizontally folded in the past.
Andreas Kotlarski of Berlin-Charlottenburg saw Great War Service before subsequently being employed as a Fire Chief in Berlin Charlottenburg. In this position he would be awarded the Fire Brigade Medal of Honour 2nd Class for 25 years service and the Faithful Service Decoration for 25 years service.
Later promoted to District Lieutenant of the Fire Protection Police he would be decorated with the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords on 20th April 1944.
