Germany – Imperial – Saxony: Silvered Medal for Loyalty in Work – King August issue 1904-1918 by Paul Meybauer of Berlin.

The medal was instituted on 10th August 1894 by King Albert to reward those who from their 25th birthday had completed 30 years’ continuous and unbroken, blameless and patriotic service with the same employer. With the accession of King Georg in 1902 and of King Friedrich August III in 1904 the medal continued but each time with the portrait of the new monarch on the obverse. The medal was suppressed at the end of the First World War. Examples made in Saxony were in silver, this example in silvered metal was made by Paul Meybauer of Berlin.
