Germany - Imperial: Prussia Enlisted Man’s Model 1847 Belt Buckle, of two-piece construction, featuring a copper buckle body with a nickel-silver washed brass centrepiece, this bearing the inscription: “Gott Mit Uns” (God With Us) - the traditional motto of the Kingdom of Prussia and the German military, the central emblem being the Prussian Imperial Crown surrounded by an oak leaf wreath. The reverse bears the product patent details: ‘D.R. GEBRAUCHS MUSTERSCHUTZ NO.27448’. This translates as Deutsches Reich Product Patent Protection No.27448.
