Germany – Imperial: A good Battle of the Somme Iron Cross 1914, 2nd Class with accompanying award documents and shoulder boards awarded to an Unteroffizier in the 99th Infantry Regiment in the field on 10th August 1916 during the Battle of the Somme, his regiment previously taking part in the defence of Thiepval and the Schwaben Redoubt and remaining on the Somme until relieved on 6th October 1916 suffering the loss of 48 officers and 2,070 men.
Germany – Imperial: Iron Cross 1914, 2nd Class with indistinct ring stamp and privately added bar ‘Somme Schlact 1916’ along with the original award certificate to an Unteroffizier in the Infantry Regiment 99, who born in Styrum in 18th April 1886 and was serving with Infantry Regiment 99 when awarded his Iron Cross in the field on 10th August 1916 during the Battle of the Somme.
