German Spring Offensive casualty 1914-1915 Star trio awarded to Private A.E. Mardel, Royal Sussex Regiment, later 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment who having served with the Royal Sussex Regiment from 9th February 1915 would later serve with the 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment with whom he was killed in action on 21st April 1918. He is now buried in Chocques Military Cemetery.

Albert E. Mardel saw service as a Private (No. 4932) with the Royal Sussex Regiment on the Western Front from 9th February 1915 and would later serve with the 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment with whom he was killed in action on 21st April 1918. He is now buried in Chocques Military Cemetery.
