George William Curtis saw service as a Private (No. 6011083) with the Essex Regiment during the Arab Revolt in Palestine. He would go on to serve as a Lance Corporal with the Corps of Military Police during the Second World War, where he would be present in North Africa and in Burma. His medals were sent to 18 Spring Gardens, Leyland, Lancashire.
