Gallipoli casualty Victory Medal awarded to Private J. Brough, 5th/6th Battalion, Royal Scots who served at Gallipoli from 25th April 1915 and died of wounds on 5th July 1915. Having no known grave he is now remembered on the Helles Memorial.

James Brough was born at 15 Murdoch Terrace, St. George, Edinburgh on 15th October 1883 and would see service with the 5/6th Battalion, Royal Scots, landing at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915, the first day of the landings there. He later died of wounds at sea on 5th July 1915 whilst aboard the Hospital Ship HMHS Neuralia, and having no known grave is now remembered on the Helles Memorial.
