When it was created in 1969, the Youth and Sports Medal is awarded to people with the following seniority conditions: 8 years of service to obtain the bronze medal, 12 years of service for the silver medal and 20 years of service for the gold medal. Intended to distinguish people dedicated to the sporting cause.
