France - 5th Republic: Legion d’Honneur, Commander Grade, neck badge, silver-gilt and enamels, complete with full length of neck ribbon with neck ties, and housed in its fitted presentation case by Arthus Bertrand of Paris. As awarded in July 1965 to Carl Bobleter, the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Austria.
Condition: enamel work very good, overall Nearly Extremely Fine.
Together with its original award certificate, this rolled up and housed within its red scroll case, the certificate reading to: ‘Monsieur BOBLETER Carl / Secretaire d’Etat aux Affairs Etrangeres de la Republique Federal d’Autriche’, dated to Paris, 15 Juillet 1965.
Also an honorary certificate of appointment to become a Wine Steward and Cupbearer of the Cellar at the famed Chateauneuf-du-Pape in France, as give, in 1974 to Carl Bobleter, in respect of his having promoted French produce within Austria. This housed in its original green scroll case, with affixed label handed inscribed to Bobleter.

Dr Carl Heinz Bobleter, was a prominent Austrian Diplomat, who held various ambassadorial roles during the 1950s-1970s, and in a position that specifically represented Austria’s interest in international economic matters, he was the Ambassador of Austria to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development between 1958 and 1964. He was later State Secretary at the Foreign Ministry and the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs at the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Austria, notably speaking at the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in April 1967.
