Frank Kingdom was born and enlisted in Exeter, at the time of the 1911 census he would be living at 54 Beaufort Road, St. Thomas, Exeter. He would go on to see service as a Private (No. 10191) with the 8th Battalion, Devonshire Regiment on the Western Front from 25th July 1915. He would subsequently be killed in action on 25th September 1915, the first day of the Battle of Loos. Having no known grave he is now remembered on the Loos Memorial and is also noted on the Ottery St. Mary War Memorial.
