Egypt Suakin operations and Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal group awarded to Private, later Corporal W. Grey, Chatham Division, Royal Marine Light Infantry who saw service in Egypt, taking part in the operations at Suakin between 1st March and 14th May 1885. He would later be awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 29th June 1893.

William Grey was born in Hackney, London in 1864 and joined at London on 18th May 1883. He would go on to serve in Egypt. taking part in the operations at Suakin between 1st March and 14th May 1885. He would later receive his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 29th June 1893 and would be discharged to Pension on 17th May 1904.
He would later serve as a Colour Sergeant with the Chatham Division of the Royal Marine Light Infantry during the Great War between 1st January 1916 and being demobilised on 22nd July 1919.
