Frank Tee was born in Worthing, Sussex and attested on 3rd June 1881 seeing service as a Private (No. 5718) with the Military Staff Corps. Remaining at home until 24th July 1882 when he would travel to Malta. He would return home to the UK between 30th January 1884 and 23rd February 1885 when he would travel to Egypt taking part in the operations at Suakin between 1st March and 14th May 1885.
Returning to the UK on 5th July 1885 he would remain there until his eventual discharge on 1st June 1893.
