Condition: heavy edge bruising, contact marks, and polished Fair to Fine
Awarded to Private (No. 2915) W. Wilson, 17th Regiment of Foot – later the Leicestershire Regiment who was present in the Crimea during the Crimean War where he would be present during the Siege of Sebastopol. The 17th Regiment was not present at either Alma or Inkermann and it is likely the recipient is not entitled to them.
This medal appeared in this form in then Dix, Noonan, Webb in their sale of 23rd February 2005 when it formed part of the collection of medals to the Leicester Regiment and Yeomanry formed by the late Trevor Harris.
