Crimea Medal 1854-1855, 1 Clasp: Sebastopol, officially impressed naming awarded to Private A. Booth, 2nd Battalion, Rifle Brigade who would be present in Crimea during the Crimean War including at the siege of Sebastopol which lasted form 11th September 1854 until 9th September 1855. He would also later serve during the Indian Mutiny where he would be present in the operations around Lucknow.

Alfred Booth saw service as a Private (No. 3797) with the Rifle Brigade would see service in Crimea during the Crimean War, and was present during the siege of Sebastopol which lasted from 11th September 1854 to 9th September 1855 and would later serve in the Indian Mutiny where he would take part in the operations in Lucknow and would later be discharged on 25th August 1874 after 21 years and 4 days including 11 years and 11 months overseas, of which 1 year and 5 months were spent in the Crimea and 10 years and 3 months in India.
His conduct was noted as very good and he was in possession of four good conduct badges, having never been tried by court-martial.
