Bertram Henry Tarbox was born in Norwich and enlisted at Lowestoft before seeing service as a Private (No. 16474) with the 1st Battalion, Suffolk Regiment on the Western Front on 16th January 1915 and would subsequently be killed in action on 21st April 1915 being buried in Bedford House Cemetery, he is also included as part of the St. Margarets Church Memorial Chapel in Lowestoft.
