Mitchell, 13th Hussars who saw service in South Africa during the Boer War and took part in the operations in Transvaal being severely wounded in the action at Van Tondershoek on 15th January 1901. Cape Colony clasp unconfirmed.

Private (No. 4887) H. Mitchell, 13th Hussars saw service in South Africa during the Boer War where he would take part in operations in Transvaal and would be severely wounded in the action Van Tondershoek on 15th January 1901.
The clasps appear to be as worn, but there is no confirmation on the roll for entitlement to the clasp ‘Cape Colony’
