Wright, 1st Dragoon Guards who saw service in South Africa during the Boer War and took part in operations in Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal being severely wounded at Swatklip on 7th November 1901 and dying if his wounds on 9th November 1901 at Harrisburg.

Condition: Nearly Extremely Fine
James Wright saw service as a Private (No. 3791) with the 1st King’s Dragoon Guards in South Africa during the Boer War taking part in the actions in Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal. He would be severely wounded at Swatklip on 7th November 1901, dying of his wounds two days later on 9th November 1901.
Wright is now remembered on a Plaque in the porch of Manchester Cathedral.
