Casualty British War Medal awarded to Officer’s Cook 3rd Class A.S. Wheaton, Royal Navy who died of Pneumonia at the Royal Naval Hospital Plymouth on 2nd July 1918 and is now buried in Plymouth (Ford Park) Cemetery.

Arthur Samuel Wheaton was born at Yeovil, Somerset on 5th September 1889, a cook and butcher, he joined on 12th June 1917 for the duration of hostilities, being attached to H.M.S. Impregnable from 19th November 1917 until 2nd July 1918, when he died of Pneumonia in the Royal Naval Hospital at Plymouth. He is now buried in Plymouth (Ford Park) Cemetery.
