Richard Jones was born in Minsterley, Salop and having enlisted at Brecon saw service as a Private (No. 61467) with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and later (No. 41135) with the 10th Battalion, South Wales Borderers being killed in action on 8th October 1918. Having no known grave he is now remembered on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial.
