British War Medal awarded to Corporal J.H. Major, 13th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps who saw service on the Western Front from 30th July 1915, and who would go on receive the Military Medal in the Edinburgh Gazette of 14th March 1917 and later died of wounds on 30th August 1918. He is buried in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille.

John H. Major saw service as a Private (No.R-5623) with the King’s Royal Rifle Corps on the Western Front from 30th July 1915. He would be awarded the Military Medal in the Edinburgh Gazette of 14th March 1917 and later would die of wounds on 30th August 1918 whilst serving with the 13th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps. He is buried in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille.
