Arthur Goodyer was commissioned as a temporary Quartermaster and Lieutenant into the Royal Engineers on 13th October 1915, and then saw service out on the Western Front from 6th August 1916, being promoted to Quartermaster and Captain. He claimed his medals in July 1921, when living in Gillingham, Kent.
