Edwin P. Stradling was born in Barry but later lived in Cardiff, Swansea, Wales, and saw service during the Great War as a Private later Lance Corporal (No.45985) with the 2nd Battalion, Welsh Regiment. Present out on the Western Front, he died of wounds on 6th December 1917 and is buried in Wimereux Communal Cemetery. Additionally entitled to the Victory Medal
