Thomas Pounder Horbron was born on 9th October 1875 in Hartlepool, County Durham, and having worked as a butcher, then enlisted as a Private 2nd Class (No.262803) into Royal Air Force on 9th August 1918, and was employed as a cook out on the Western Front from 20th September 1918. Posted home on 26th January 1919, and was transferred to the RAF Reserve on 26th February 1919 and discharged on 30th April 1920.
