George E. Wells was from Chatham in Kent, enlisted at Chatham and subsequently saw service as a Gunner (No. 119621) with the Royal Garrison Artillery. He died on 30th June 1917 whilst serving with 260th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery and is now buried in St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen.
