William Howes saw service during the Great War as a Private (No.17366) with the Royal Sussex Regiment, as well as serving as a Private (No.18460) with the 255th Training Reserve Battalion and as a Private (No.O48113) with the Army Ordnance Corps. Howes later saw service as a Special Constable with the Police Special Constabulary. Confirmed as his full entitlement for the Great War.
