Abuduramanu Bazazegi served as a Private (No.313) with the West African Frontier Force during the suppression of the Ashanti Rising in the period from 31st March to 25th December 1900, and was one of those present during the operations at Kumassi up to 15th July 1900. Subsequently present with the 4th Lagos Battalion of the West African Frontier Force with the Aro Expeditionary Force during the period from 15th November 1901 to 23rd March 1902.
