Boer War Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal operations and Army Long Service and Good Conduct pair to Private T. Graham, Middlesex Regiment – Mounted Infantry who saw service in South Africa during the Boer War and would take part in operations in Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal before later being awarded the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. He would re-enlist during the Great War and see home service only with the Hampshire Regiment.

Thomas Graham was born in Stoke Newington, London, and giving his trade as a musician enlisted aged 14 years on 11th March 1889 initially serving as a Boy Soldier and having been appointed as a Bandsman, a role in which he served until he reverted to Private on 15th June 1900.
Initially serving at home he would travel to Gibraltar on 20th September 1892 and remained there until 1st March 1895 when he returned to the UK. His next overseas travel would be South Africa on 25th April 1896, and he would remain there until he travelled to the East Indies on 9th April 1898. He would then spend a short period of home between 28th November 1900 and 28th March 1901 when he would travel to South Africa.
Whilst in South Africa he would see service in the Boer War with the Middlesex Regiment Mounted Infantry and would participate in the operations in Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal. From South Africa he would travel to the East indies on 22nd March 1902, finally returning home on 7th February 1907, and being discharged on 10th March 1907.
He would later re-enlist during the Great War where he would serve with the Hampshire Regiment at home in the UK between 7th December 1915 and 15th February 1919.
