Belgium: Order of Leopold II, Knight Grade, post-1951 issue bearing the Belgian motto in both French and Flemish.
Condition: Good Very Fine.
The order was created by King Leopold II on 24 August 1900, destined to recognise exceptional military and civilian service to the Congo, of which he was sovereign. In 1908 when the Congo became a Belgian Colony, the order became an order of the Kingdom of Belgium and was awarded for service in either country. After 1951, the Belgian motto appears in both French and Flemish.
