The Honorary Insignia for Work were instituted on 14 March 1929 and the Laureate of Work acknowledges that the recipient is an expert in their field of work. For the bronze award, the recipient must be at least 30 years of age and have a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience, After a further five years, having achieved a higher level of attainment and demonstrated an adoption of advancing technologies or methods, the recipient may be awarded the silver Laureate, and then after a further five years the gold Laureate, as in this example. The form of the Laureate seen in this example was introduced in 1948 and replaced in 1963.
