George Wells was born in St. Pauls, Chatham, Kent and would see service with the 16th (Church Lads Brigade) Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps on the Western Front from 15th July 1916. He died of wounds on 23rd April 1917 and is now remembered on the Arras Memorial.
