Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, Victoria, small letter reverse, engraved naming awarded to Private W. Farrell, 107th Regiment of Foot (Bengal Light Infantry) who was present at Delhi and Lucknow during the Indian Mutiny and who was wounded on 16th June 1857 at Delhi resulting in the amputation of the middle finger of his left hand.

William Farrell saw 21 years and 1 day service with the colours, including 18 years and 192 days in India, and would be discharged on 19th January 1874. During his service he would take part in the Indian Mutiny being present during the Battles of Delhi and Lucknow. He would be wounded at Delhi on 16th June 1857 suffering a wound to the middle finger of the left hand resulting in it being amputated.
Upon discharge he would be in possession of four good conduct badges and had never tried by court martial or entered in the Regimental Defaulters Book.
