Patrick Kennelly enlisted on 14th November 1825 and would see service as a Private (No. 499) with the 11th (North Devonshire) Regiment of Foot being discharged at Chatham on 27th July 1847 having seen service 21 years and 257 days service including 13 years and 6 months in Portugal, Corfu and America.
His character being noted as very good, being in possession of four good conduct badges upon discharge but unfit for further military duty.
