Wayne Antenbring saw service in the Royal Navy as an Opticalman (Communications) 1st Class (No. D224574Y) when present during Operation Telic in Iraq and he would subsequently serve in support of the opeations in Afghanistan as a Leading Seaman (Communications and Information Systems). He would later be awarded a Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal whilst serving as a Petty Officer (Communications and Information Systems). At some stage Antenbring was issued a replacement to his Iraq Medal.
