An unusual Efficiency Medal, T. & A.V.R. suspension and Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Lifesaving Medal in Bronze pair awarded to Bombardier R.I. Edwards, Royal Artillery who was later awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Lifesaving Medal in bronze for along with two others saving 20 sheep from flood water on the River Brede at Sedlescombe on 8th February 2001.

Robert (Bob) Edwards saw service as a Bombardier (No. 24130251) with the Royal Artillery and would later be awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, bronze lifesaving medal for together with John and Jackie Cooke, all residents of Sedlescombe rescuing 20 sheep from flood water on the River Brede at Sedlescombe on 8th February 2001.
