Together with a Buffs Regimental Prize Medal in Silver, silver marks, reverse engraved: ‘E.A. SMITH’, housed in its case by Fattorini & Sons; an M.A.A. League Winners 1935-36 Prize Medal won by recipient ‘E.A. Smith’ who was a member of ‘B’ Company, The Buffs; an M.A.A Rahim Shield Winners 1935-36 Prize Medal won by ‘E.A. Smith’ of ’B’ Company The Buffs .

Awarded to Private (No.6284615) E.A. Smith, 1st Battalion, East Kent Regiment - The Buffs, who saw service out in India during the 1930’s, being present during the Burma operations which lasted from 22nd December 1930 to 25th March 1932 when serving as a member of ‘C’ Company. During 1935 to 1936 he was with ‘B’ Company and took part in the Hot Weather League, presumably playing football, as well as competing in amateur athletics. An image of him in a group photograph appears in ‘The Dragon’ the Regimental Paper of The Buffs.
