An impressive Royal Household grouping to Frederick Baker, Coachman at Buckingham Palace, who was awarded the Royal Victorian Medal in silver in 1930 and in the same year received the Royal Household Long Service Medal having completed 20 years service.

Baker); Royal Victorian Medal, G.V.R., silver; 1902 Coronation Medal, bronze; 1911 Coronation Medal; 1935 Jubilee Medal; 1937 Coronation Medal; Serbia, Royal Household Medal, third type 1903-1914, bronze. These even one-time court mounted (the empty court mounted bar sold with the grouping) now mounted for display in a glazed free standing display frame with ivorine name plaque “F. Baker.

Frederick Baker was born in Exeter, Devon in 1861 and is shown in the 1881 Census as being a Coachman and Domestic, living in Homelands Lodge, Devon. By the time of the 1891 Census he and his family had moved to Quebec Mews, London and he was soon to be employed by the Royal Household. Both his Royal Household Long Service Medal and Royal Victorian Medal were awarded in 1930
