Benjamin John Stebbing of Whitehorse Wood, Stepney, London, attested for the Middlesex Regiment on 30 Nov 1898 and went on to see overseas service in the East Indies, 13.10.02 - 5.7.03; Somaliland, 6.7.03 - 9.7.04; East Indies, 16.9.09 - 30.12.13, and France, 16.8.14 - 5.12.16. He was discharged on completion of 21 years, 117 days service, on 26 May, 1920.
