Afghanistan 1841-1842, with Cabul 1842 reverse, with replacement silver clip and straight bar suspension with regimentally engraved naming to Angus Cameron, 3rd King’s Own Light Dragoons who saw service during the First Afghan War where he was present at the capture of Cabul in 1842. He would later see service during the First Sikh War for which he would be awarded a Sutlej Medal with clasps for Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon.

Angus Cameron was born in South Keith, Scotland. A hatter by occupation he enlisted into the 1st Royal Dragoons on 19th April 1828 and served with them until 30th June 1837. He was then transferred to the 3rd Light Dragoons and served with them during the First Afghan War where he was present at the capture of Cabul in 1842. He would remain with the regiment until 30th September 1846 when he was discharged with a gratuity.
He would also later serve in the First Sikh War for which he would be awarded a Sutlej Medal with clasps for Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon.
