A WW2 British Mk1 “fibre rim” Paratrooper Helmet with liner marked BMB 1942 (for Briggs Motor Bodies) and size 6 7/8, lacking internal top pad and sorb liner padding. The chin cup removed from the chin strap which has been modified so that it does up with a buckle.
A WW2 British Mk1 “fibre rim” Paratrooper Helmet with liner marked BMB 1942 and size 6 7/8, lacking internal top pad and sorb padding. The chin cup removed from the chin strap which has been modified so that it does up with a buckle. Green paint to exterior and light green interior, one split to helmet body hidden from view by fibre rim. Leather sweatband with repaired stitching at join.
Condition. Helmet modified for post-war use, but fundamentally original and scarce nonetheless.
