Awarded to Corporal later Sergeant (No.24393932) D.P. Wood, Royal Army Medical Corps, who having seen service in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, went on to see service during the Falklands War in 1982 as a combat medic, he being not shown on the list of those serving with a field ambulance or with Rick Jolly. Wood then served during the First Gulf War as a part of Operation Granby in Saudi Arabia and the liberation of Kuwait during 1990 to 1991.
