A very fine Great War and Second War group of six to Captain Charles Beverly Carr, Canadian Field Artillery, who served as a Gunner in the 61st Battery, 15th Overseas Brigade, Canadian Expeditionary Force during WW1 and having been commissioned into the 91st Field Company in 1934, serving overseas during WW2.

Charles Beverly Carr was born in Wingham, Ontario, Canada, on 6 August 1896 and was a Bookkeeper at the time of his enlistment, living at 2121 Hope Street, Calgary, Canada. He attested for the Canadian overseas Expeditionary Force at Lethbridge on 5 May, 1916, joining the 61st Battery
Carr arrived in England aboard the SS Cameronia on 22 Sept 1916, and embarked for service in France on 20 Aug 1917 with 14th Brigade. Following the end of hostilities he returned to England and in June 1919, returned to Canada, being discharged on 26 June 1919.
On 1 Feb 1934 he was commissioned into the 91st Field Company and awarded the Efficiency Decoration some years later when a Captain. He died in 1966
