He would later be awarded the Imperial Service Medal in the London Gazette of 19th April 1927 for his work as a Skilled Labourer Hammerman at H.M. Dockyard.

William Caseley Bolt enlisted on 30th April 1908 and saw service as a Lance Serjeant (No. 168) with the 5th Battalion, Devon Regiment being discharged with a Silver War Badge on 29th April 1916. He would later be awarded the Imperial Service Medal in the London Gazette of 19th April 1927 for his work as a Skilled Labourer Hammerman at H.M. Dockyard, Devonport.
