Frederick James Blood served in France and Flanders with the 8th Battalion, London Regiment, later transferring to the 7th as a Sergeant. He was awarded the Territorial Efficiency Medal in 1928 and then, when a B.Q.M.Sjt. in the Royal Artillery, was awarded the Efficiency Medal, Territorial, in February 1941.
