A South African Great War trio, Coronation Medal 1911 and South Africa Police Good Service Medal group awarded to Rifleman C.J.F. Wolvaardt, 4th Regiment, South African Mounted Rifles who later saw service as a Constable with the South African Police being discharged aged 50 on 12th April 1940.

Cornelius Johannes Frederick Wolvaardt attested at Pretoria on 13th April 1910, was serving at the time of the 1911 Coronation and subsequently saw service during the Great War with the 4th South African Mounted Rifles. He would see thirty years service, being discharged from the South African Police at Ixopo, aged 50 years old on 12th April 1940 with is conduct being noted as Very Good and his profession being given as Farmer
