Defence Medal; War Medal 1939-1945; mounted swing style as worn in reverse order.

Condition: Good Very Fine.

Together with the recipient’s Women’s Land Army arm band with six service diamonds, each representative of a years service; and a letter from the Land Commission in London to Mrs Spencer, issued on the occasion of her retirement from official duties, and thanking her for her long career, specifically mentioning ‘during those long and arduous years of the Second World War’. Dated 17th October 1954 and sent to the recipient, Mrs Violet E. Spencer, at “Knock na Cree”, Offenham, Worcestershire.
