John Henry Jones was born on 10th January 1911 and enlisted in January 1927, initially serving as an Aircraftman 1st Class. He would serve with 13 Squadron at Netheravon from June 1930 being appointed a Leading Aircraftman in June 1934 and an Acting Pilot Officer (Technical) on 10th December 1942. Pilot Officer on 11th March 1943 and Flying Officer on 11th September 1943. Appointed Flight Lieutenant (Technical) on 21st June 1948 with seniority from 10th June 1947 and transferred to the Secretarial branch on appointment. He would be appointed Flight Lieutenant (Secretarial) on 3rd March 1952. He would be awarded his Coronation Medal 1953 whilst serving at R.A.F. Hornchurch before retiring on 31st March 1958.
John Henry Jones died in March 2000.
