A Second World War Burma theatre, South East Asia post war troubles and Efficiency Medal grouping awarded to Private A. Napier, 6th Battalion, South Wales Borderers, later King’s Shropshire Light Infantry who saw service in Burma during the Second World War, before later seeing service in South-East Asia during the post-war troubles that erupted in the aftermath of the Japanese wartime occupation, and subsequently being awarded an Efficiency Medal in Army Order 119 of 1946 whilst serving with the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry.

Private (No. 6015017) A.J.J. Napier saw service during the Second World War in the Burma theatre, and then subsequently saw service with the 6th Battalion, South Wales Borderers. in South East Asia during the post-war troubles that erupted in the aftermath of the Japanese wartime occupation. He would be awarded the Efficiency Medal in Army Order 119 of 1946 whilst serving with the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry, the roll however noting him as serving with the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.
