Leonard Arthur Peel was born on 24th September 1913 enlisted into 2 Wing in January 1930. He would be posted to Eastchurch in December 1932, being promoted to Aircraftman 1st Class in December 1933, and Flight Sergeant and Warrant Officer in on 1st July 1955 whilst serving with 205 Squadron at Changi and who would later see service in Borneo during the Indonesian Confrontation at some stage during the period from 24th December 1962 through to 11th August 1966.
