Rowland, Royal Navy who saw service in the Second World War during the Battle of the Atlantic before later taking part in the operations off Palestine during the Jewish Revolt. He would be awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal whilst serving aboard the Anti-Aircraft frigate HMS Veryan Bay.

Rowland, Royal Navy would see Second World War service during the Battle of the Atlantic before later taking part in the operations off the coast of Palestine during the Jewish Revolt. He would later be awarded a Long Service and Good Conduct Medal whilst serving aboard HMS Veryan Bay, an anti-aircraft frigate which having seen earlier service off the coast of Palestine and in the Mediterranean would later serve on the West Indies station during the mid-1950s.
