A scarce North West Frontier Waziristan 1923 operations single Indian Distinguished Service Medal, awarded to Sepoy Rang Baz, 3rd Battalion, 8th Punjab Regiment, formerly the 91st Punjabis, who was one of three recipient’s from his battalion to be so decorated for operations in Waziristan during 1923.

Rang Baz saw service as a Sepoy (No.2340) with the 3rd Battalion, 8th Punjab Regiment, formerly the 91st Punjabis, and saw service during the operations on the North West Frontier in Waziristan in 1923, serving for which he was awarded the Indian Distinguished Service Medal, as announced in Indian Army Orders No.218 of 1923, one of three such awards given to his battalion for that year.
